antivirus pro 2010

Anyone know a common site that infects the computer with antivirus pro
2010?

My niece or nephew has stumbled on this twice.

They disappear in a couple days. So you are LOOKING to find this
malware to do what? Teach your niece or nephew (for which you haven't
yet made a choice) a lesson in properly security their computer (which
is really their parents' computer)?

Excellent question unless the OP is trying to find the attack vector
or test the defenses of the system that was in question.

Still - why go looking for trouble?

My original question was if there is a list of sites that causes this
program to be installed. I guess that is too vague of a question.

My niece uses all the social sites, and my nephew is into games. He
is also 15 so...........who knows where he has been.

I am not his mother, but I do get to fix the computer when it gets
broken.

I strongly suspect the "attack vector" occurs before the actual download
site is reached by the user. IOW the OP wanted the download site and not
the script from the website (or an ad on that website) or whatever
trojan distribution method was used to direct the user to the download.

Many places may "attack" users (and those places change often) by
causing them to visit the download site (which changes less often) by
social engineering. The OP asked for the "site that infects the
computer" not the sites that coerce the users to visit said site.

....at least that was my interpretation of the post.

Thanks for clarifying. The attack vector is by vulnerable *users* -
social engineering leads the victim to the download site. These social
engineering ploys can come from just about anywhere, but the
perpetrators know what places are popular and tend to concentrate their
efforts there.

That is not to say that there aren't software exploits being used in
some cases, but first and foremost these are trojans that exploit
misplaced user trust.
