I love to watch the live cams with birds and such but when i click on them all i get is a black screen. This computer was new last year at this time and i could watch the cams. I have done updates on everything i can think of with no luck. I can watch videos so that is not the problem. Utube and such like that. It is the live cams that dont work for me. My son has the same puter bought at same time and they have no problem but none of us can figure out how to fix this. It has to be a problem somewhere but I am not smart enough to figure it out. Please help. thanks so much. I have a windows 7

Can you give us a representative site where you are having problems? That way we can get an idea of what format they are using and perhaps find a solution.

Have you checked to see if your Flash player is installed and up to date?

In Windows Media Player, click the arrow below the Library tab, and then click More Options. Click the File Types tab, and then select the Windows Media File (asf) check box. This option enables the Player to play files with a variety of file name extensions, including .asx.

Also BeeCeeBee asked you a question regarding Flash Player.

Run this Flash Player Test to make sure it is actually working.

I have tried everything i read here along with some of my own ideas. uninstall and install. I have a 64 bit puter so i installed flashplayer for that with no luck. I guess i am just stuck with not being able to play some games or watch some videos and such until i can get this fixed. thank u all for your help. It was much appreciated.

I find I can watch some vidoes with my Opera Browser and IE won't show them regardless of what I do.

I have ActiveX as well, and the Flash Player Plugin.

Someone may have an answer so I wouldn't give up yet. :)

The next question has to be firewall or even antivirus. Which firewall are you using and which antivirus?
If the firewall is a third party one such as Comodo, Zone Alarm or similar, disable it, then enable the windows firewall, if the video can then be watched, it will be some setting in the firewall needs correcting, same applies to any antivirus, temporarily disable it and check the video again, let us know what you find if anything.
