Amd X4 Or Core I3

    i am buying a new processor for gaming

    i have two choices

    amd x 4 or core i3

    i want to change motherboard also which are best suited for games like gta 4

    i already have msi n210 video chip

    that's 2 cores vs 4 cores right?.....4 cores.

    Memory:
    OCZ PC8500 4x1GB sticks
    Hard Drive:
    Samsung - all the way
    Graphics Card:
    XFX 260GTX rev 1
    Power Supply:
    Seasonic 600Watt
    GTA 4 is not a demanding game and certainly wont use quad core architecture efficiently so if its just for that game then dual core would be faster for it....BUT for all other programs a quad would be better, as a general rule the more cores the better
