Amd Southbridge Driver / Raidxpert Downloads

    ASUS - are there any others worth buying?
    CPU:
    Q6600 at 4.0Ghz per core (Watercooled)
    Memory:
    OCZ PC8500 4x1GB sticks
    Hard Drive:
    Samsung - all the way
    Graphics Card:
    XFX 260GTX rev 1
    Power Supply:
    Seasonic 600Watt
    Looks like standard SATA/RAID drivers for AMD chipset MOBOs
    Strange though as they shouldn't be needed in Vista or W7. It would depend if RAID is configurable from the BIOS, which most aren't

    They were and are "needed", as the drives were not recognized as one without them.
    I had to select RAID in the Bios. Then add drivers supplied with the Motherboard Disc.
    I thought these might be new and improved drivers.

    The SATA/RAID are controlled by the SB, no drivers are recognised until the Windows splash is loading, chipset or otherwise

    I had to select RAID in the Bios. Then add drivers supplied with the Motherboard Disc.) was in reference to initial OS installation.

    You shouldn't need to install any SATA/RAID drivers unless you are using an OS pre Vista
