I went shopping today for new clothes in a very large Department Store.
I noticed that customers were taking underwear to the fitting rooms and trying the underwear on.
Then returning and hanging the underwear back on the hooks.
Both Ladies and men were doing this.
I think this is a very unhygienic practice as you wouldn't know what germs were being deposited into the underwear and how many customers had tried these garments on.
I think they should be sealed and if you break the seal you buy them.
    Am I worrying too much?

No, I agree with you, and luckily enough there are places in the UK that sell underwear in sealed 5 pack units

If it is happening for underwear, it may be for things like socks as well, athletes foot and other well known foot infections come to mind with that one, lord alone knows what could be caught from someone else in underwear though, yeugh.

Look Dougie started this thread but I just don't get what he is concerned about. From what his wife told me, he already changed his underwear this year. Nothing to worry about until around December.

I purchase all my underwear from Anne Summers and never have a problem with trying the things on. My favourites are my pink thongs with a little bow on the front...but of course I wouldn't admit to that in a public forum!

LOL you won't find no whites in our house, apart from the net's in the windows, and that's only because they're New and I haven't washed them yet, but I really Don't get why Women have a thing about whites being brilliant white, Just throw them in a colours (<- That's the English spelling as used in England) wash, and problem solved.
