    A lot is internet based, but there are also quite a lot of ordinary phone and mail scams going on as well, worth a look in to learn how not to get caught out.

    Interesting! My neighbor in chatting with me the other day told me she received a phone call advising her that her computer is infected and for a sum they would clean it out for her. She foolishly allowed them access to her computer, gave them her credit card number to withdraw their fee, etc. I asked if she did online banking and she said she does. I think we all know the conclusion to this scenario. I advised her to immediately change her credit card account; change her banking password, etc. but I think she is hooped.
