Adobe Flash Player Update?

    I'm trying to update Adobe Flash Player as there is a red symbol near my Firefox address bar that says to update Flash Player and allow it etc.

    I download the update, click on it twice to install it but nothing seems to happen. I don't get any confirmation that it has been completed. And I'm still getting the red symbol to update on some websites.

    Help on this please.

    I think with Firefox, you have to download the update. Then quit Firefox and run the installer. I'm not sure. The installer window may be hidden by you Firefox window. Try downloading the update and then quitting Firefox. Then run the installer.

    I tried that. But nothing happened so I went into my download folder, double clicked it to try installing it again and it said "Only a single instance of this can run" but no notification it has been done and it hasn't as the Flash plug out date message is near my address bar.

    Restart your computer. Then go to the Downloads folder to run the installer.

    Alternatively go directly to Adobe's download site. Try this link http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
