Adding W2003 R2 features to an R1 build?

We have a large number of W2003 servers, using a standard, tested W2003 SP2
    (Release 1) build.

We'd now like to use quota management on a couple of servers.

Is it possible to install FSRM (File System Resource Manager) from the
Release 2 CD on top of a Release1 server, without going back and
    re-installing the whole system?

    Thanks
    Bob

  2. Hello Brimble,

No, FSRM (also the other tools) requires to install R2 features from the
second R2 disk. But there is no reinstall needed. Just run the setup2.exe
from the second disk and have the key available.

    Best regards
