Adblock Plus that many of us have used for years to block internet advertising is now available for Internet Explorer as well as Firefox and Chrome browsers. Of all the browsers, Internet Explorer has always had the most useless popup blocker of any of them.

Personally I have always believed that one half the battle with Malware can be as simple as preventing internet advertising because when you think about it, it always starts with a popup so if we can prevent the popups, that can go along way IMHO towards preventing Malware incursions. That again and the other super important ingredient is safe surfing habits that stop you from adding toolbars and services that are completely unnecessary i.e. "MacAfee Security Center", and can further subject you to the risks Malware.
Simple to remember that any program telling you you need a toolbar to run it is BS, you only need a computer to install and run software. Toolbars hang in front of the browser and therefore cannot be properly protected, and these days could well be the primary Malware enabler.
