    Hi guys!

    i have a quick question :

It's possible configure a windows server 2008 to use a proxy server (NO ISA)
for complete a activation process across internet ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Darrel,

    thanks for your reply.
I don't have a MAK license ; in my scenario i need to activate a server
installed with a technet copy (technet windows product key) in developer
    environment.

Anybody have a idea ? It' s possible activate win2k08 via http proxy ?

    Thanks in advance.

  3. Yes, it is possible.
What is stopping you from trying?
BTW ISA is a proxy server.

  4. Hello Inputo,
I am pretty sure TecNet was using MAK keys for Windows Server 2008.
Open an elevated CMD prompt and run slmgr /DLV
what is on the first three lines
    Thanks,
    Darrell Gorter[MSFT]

If you have Server 2008 from Technet or MSDN it is probably a MAK (Multiple
    Activation Key).

    1) Configure IE with the proxy info.
    2) Open a command shell with elevated privileges. (Run as Admin)
    3) Type this command: netsh winhttp import proxy ie
    4) Activate Windows.
