OK first you will need to try some of the things suggested and not be so timid. :) Otherwise we can be of little help to you. Let me give you another way to get to system restore which may be a little less intimidating. Go to the start button and click.elect "All Programs" and scroll to "Accessories."

From there select "System Tools" and next select "System Restore." Just follow the instructions, it may even tell you what the last thing that was done prior to the restore points being created. In windows 7 there is an option to see more restore points. You will probably need to do that in order to find one that predates the problem. If you are not sure, give it your best guess. You can always undo a system restore.

System Restore is a simple process. It very rarely goes wrong - once you have selected the date and set the restore process going just leave the machine until you get a message saying that the restore was successful.

i talked to my dad and we kind of don't have a restore point that predates the problem scince it preety much started shortly after we booted it up and that was roughly 3-4 years ago i dont know if there is a way to restore it to the day that we booted it up is there

You can start all over from scratch but that will mean you will lose all data since day one. You would need to backup and copy everything that you need (not programs) to some external source.

Now then, continuing with this thread is not going to work. What you said last makes very little sense since it means that your computer has remained on without shutting down since it was first started. In another thread you mentioned rebooting.

Frankly I am not willing to have our staff members play a game of telephone with you and your father. Somewhere you "kind of do" have a restore point unless it was removed by malware. Do you have any protection on this machine besides the AVG or Avast? Do you have any torrenting software on the computer?

I am beginning to believe that this machine may be infected and you need to install malwarebytes and do a proper scan. However, I really think that if everything we say is going to be run by your Dad then I think it is time that he deal with this and with us directly.
