64bit 08 Server System Readiness Tool not fixing issue.

    Graham Guest

I am having an issue with a particular update that's really causing some
    major issues.

I cannot access Roles or Features in Server Manager, can't apply SP2 because
it states SP1 isn't installed when it clearly is.

Error message in Server Manager is: No Signature was present in the subject
    (Exception HRESULT:0x800B0100)

System Readiness Tool reports KB47821 isn't installed and proceeds to
install it. If I run the Tool again it reports the same thing over and over
always attempting to reinstall the update.

    CBS logs report this:
    Checking packages.
    (f) CBS MUM
    Missing 0x00000002 servicing\packages\Package_for_KB961371_server_0~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.0.1.4.mum
    (f) CBS MUM
    Missing 0x00000002 servicing\packages\Package_for_KB961371_server~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.0.1.4.mum

    Missing 0x00000002 servicing\packages\Package_for_KB961371~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.0.1.4.mum

Manually extracting the mum's from the KB961371 and placing in the
services\packaging directory does not fix the issue per another thread
regarding a similar issue on this newsgroup.

  2. Hello Graham,
You need to copy over all three missing\corrupted files to the
\windows\servicing\packages folders as well the associated *.cat files with
    the same names.
Make sure the folder is servicing\pakages not services\packages as
    referenced in your post.
Then re-run checksur and see if you get the same log entries.
    Thanks,
    Darrell Gorter[MSFT]
