    Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good Serial ATA (SATA) II pci controller card for
    Windows 2003? Thanks.

I've got a Promise FastTrak TX 4310 in a Windows 2003 that is doing ok.
The ROM based utility is minimal (at best) but the Web (based) Promise
    Array Manager is decent.

If you care, I'm running 2 500 GB SATA drives in a RAID 1 that is doing
ok. (The RAID card did its job and kept the system running and booting
when one of the drives failed.)

I do consider this card to be a ""firmware (as opposed to hardware or
software) RAID card as I believe it loads a driver and really uses the
host CPU for it's RAID processing like a lot of the less expensive SATA
    RAID cards on the market.
