I used to have some free youtube video downloaders but have not used any for a long time and no longer seem to have any. Is there a recommended free youtube video downloader I could download to save video file to my widows 7 PC?

I have used Abelsoft YouTube Downloader for years.
I have the Plus version but they also have a free one.

I could never get Cindy's program to work for me. She has an older version, which I was unable to find.

The free program, 4K Video downloader has worked for me
    https://www.4kdownload.com/products/product-videodownloader

You fire up the program, paste in the url of the download and it downloads. The hardest thing is locating the download when it is finished.

I have not done this in a long time but the programs I used before do not work now and YouTube seems to have set up lots of roadblocks for just what you can download and save and are concerned abut copyrighted material. I am not marketing the stuf or charging people to come and see it like a movie theater but just want my own copy to view or listen to. I tried YouTube's OWN downloader on a piece and it failed 3-4 times so I gave up.Would just be happy to download and save file successfully and view or listen. When I search for downloaders now there are dozens instead of only a few like when I began. Since I just want a free one for occasional use I will try the suggested. Thanks.

I tried the Abelsoft but did not seem to work. There was a PLUS for $10 and below it said FREE DOWNLOAD which I thought might be a free version. Then I tried the 4K which DID work after a few minutes of intuitive fiddling. Just did enough to see if it would download and play a clip from a list and it did. Will go back to te Abelsoft when have more time.

If you use FF Quantum, I have an addon called Easy YouTube downloader that seems to work (this is a different computer than the one I use 4K Video downloader on).
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/easy-youtube-video-download/

Forget that one; it gives me the link to download then doesn't seem to do anything.

My main browser is palemoon. I have an addon for that that does work though I don't think you can find it anywhere because it uses the old FF addon scheme.
    Download YouTube Videos as MP4

I did get the 4K to work but it does download and make a MP4. How can I change a MP4 to an MP3 and put it on my SansaClip MP3 player. Have forgotten how I put all the music on there 8+ years ago.

I am now exploring the Firefox add-on you listed above.

I use several Pazera programs on both a 32 bit and a 64 bit Windows 7 computer. What is the problem? I don't own anything newer than Windows 7 computers.
