Yellow Vertical lines in Vista Media Center while using zoom 4!! No
matter if its live tv or a video clip. any clues? I really doubt this is
a hardware issue. I have also tried many codec's with no luck..

    MSI 945p Platinum Motherboard

You can adjust additional settings, such as Display Width (4:3 vs 16:9),
    connection details etc via

Tasks > Settings > TV > Configure your TV or Monitor

Try running through the wizard there to see if that helps.

I had the same problem -- we have a cat who loves to walk on the
keyboard and he will invariable "turn on" the yellow lines. In the
past, the only way we could get rid of them was to restart the computer.
But today I managed to get rid of them by pressing the Ctrl-Menu keys
(menu being a key between the Alt and Ctrl keys on the right side of my
keyboard). I also played around with shortcut keys and found a few:

Ctrl-Shift-C: toggles captions on and off
    Ctrl-Shift-Z: changes zoom level
    Ctrl-Shift-B: "rewinds" the video
    Ctrl-Shift-F: "fastforwards" through the video
    Ctrl-Shift-S: stops video play
    Ctrl-Shift-M: Plays media (DVD)
    Ctrl-Shift-R: Opens programs?

    Ctrl-P: Pause playback
    Ctrl-I: Opens picture library
    Ctrl-R: Record
    Ctrl-E: Opens video library
    Ctrl-G: Opens the guide

When the yellow lines come back I'll get to test my "fix" again.
Hopefully that's it. It is very frustrating to have to restart the
computer to get it back to a normal display!

My cat knows that tables, desks, counter tops are all off-limits.

I hit CTRL+SHIFT+Z twice to reset it to "2" (resolution), and that took
the yellow / green vertical lines away . . .
