    Hi there.

I've just purchased a Belkin Enhanced Wireless Router (N 150) with the hope of converting my cable connection to wireless. I followed the quick installation guide and installed the software, and it installed without a hitch, ie everything on the checklist read 'ok'.

However the 'modem' and 'internet' lights are not lit. The computer still connects to the internet via the modem, but the router doesn't seem to recognise it.

My laptop picks up the wireless network that was set up during installation, just no internet.

The main PC connected to the modem is running Windows Vista Home Premium (32bit), laptop is running Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit)... if that helps.

The modem is a Motorola SB5101E SURFboard modem, from way back when.

Any help will be much appreciated :)

Are your router and modem still connected by ethernet cable? Sometimes that gets removed in error after the installation.

Yeah, all is connected how it should be.

Internet cable to modem > ethernet from modem to router > USB from modem to computer (unsure if this is needed now though?) > ethernet cable from router to computer

Try removing the last 2. If you are connecting wirelessly there is no need for a cable between the router and the computer or the USB from the modem to the computer.

    Still no luck.

I tried the set-up disc again. When it gets to the last step, 'Connecting to the Internet', it eventually tells me 'Internet account info not accepted'.

Has it asked you for your WPA or WEP settings?
