I have the opportunity of leaving my present isp, (HotWire Communications-Cable) which i'm directly hard-wired to. (6Mbps upload). The new possible future isp i'm considering is Comcast Wireless. Is having a wireless isp a big disadvantage? Will my internet security be more at risk with a wireless isp?

Hi, considering the hackers monitoring the internet can find way's in to unsecured computers regardless of the type of connection I see no problem, and in fact I am using a UK based similar connection from a company called Internexus (6G)
Providing you have a firewall and an antivirus installed you should be as OK as you were on a hard wired system.

You may have occasional brief weather interruptions during bad storms but other than that you should see pretty smooth sailing. So even if its a bit more $ since it is nearly double the speed I would go for it.

I would check around the complex for actual speeds. Promised speeds and actual speeds can vary.
You may have to fit a signal amplifier for best reception.
