Just got a phone call in a hard to understand voice telling me my Windows license key is expiring and to call some number. Will listen to it again to see if I understand what saying.
But does anyone have any idea what this means?
I have had w98, 98se, ME, XP, W7, and W10 and never since began in Nov 1998 have I EVER gotten any call or letters saying a license is expiring and to call some number.
Wondering if anyone knows what this means and if I should call or forget it and erase it.

    It's definitely a scam, Bill.
Whatever you do, don't call them back.

Thank you very much, Cindy. I tend to suspect everything so like to have other opinions. I shall erase this message and not try to figure out what he is saying.

You were right to be suspicious of this.
You'd be amazed at how many unsuspecting people fall for this one.

A short time ago, a guy at work was telling me that his mother had a similar phone call.
She was old and knew no better.... it cost her over £200.

This type of scam really ticks me off.
They swindle a lot of people who just don't realize what is happening.
