windows event log service does not start

    When starting windows event log service the a message comes up,
    Windows could not start the Windows Event Log service on Local Computer,
    error 2. cannot find the file specified

    please let me know any solution...

    Hello Ignacio, I had the same error.
    Looking on the web I found the solution, look in the registry to the
    following key:

    HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog

    an delete the "Parameters" key !

    (Do not forget to backup your registry before make any operation on it
    !!!)
