In my "notification" icon next to clock, when I click on it I see 9 little thumbnails or tiles. One of which is called "Bluetooth". My issue is; sometimes that tile/thumbnail is lit up blue and other times it's that awful gray color.

I don't have any bluetooth devices connected to my system and I'm pretty damn sure that my mobo doesn't have bluetooth support.

So why is this happening with it looking like bluetooth is active?

Before anybody asks...I do have a windows phone but that function is turned off and stays off.....I just checked that.

    That's a little weird.
Have you tried turning it off by, right-click on the Taskbar, choose Properties, and then click the Customize button.
Select which icon's appear on the taskbar and switch the Bluetooth app to off.

Go into device manager and see if Bluetooth is listed there when it is lit blue then again when it is grey.

If it is you can disable it there. Do you have a wireless keyboard or mouse attached to the system? One of them could be Bluetooth and it could be reading the dongle connected to the system.

You probably thought about this have you tried selecting All Setting in there to see if there is a way there to turn it off, stop showing, or something similar.

What happens if you right click on it?

Can it be turned off in the Action Center?

Do you have any other devices attached to the PC? Anything at all? Even through your network?

I just get the "go to settings" pop up and clicking that takes me to all settings. In all settings I've searched in each tile and can't find anything listed for bluetooth.

What are the chances that Ten is reading Bluetooth one by mistake or two by another device connected IE printer?

Also is this some thing that you have noticed since the install or is this some thing that appeared after an update/patch happened?

This is a custom built rig....it has no bluetooth hardware at all....none as I stated in my original post.

Could be a very good change that 10 is just messed up....and I don't have any wifi printers. Just one old HP 5610v that still kicking.

That's a good question. I just recently noticed the issue...not sure if it has some thing to do with and update or not.
