Me too, especially as it was dubbed via M$ themselves as a 'tablet operating system'

Microsoft over the last few years change the OS's faster than their chipsets :bnghd:

From the information I have seen, Windows 8, is aimed at the touch screen technology, tablet computers and smaller devices already have that and the system may, I only say may be ideal for that purpose.

Touch screens as in big desktops or even laptops are another thing altogether, as working a vertical touch screen in a similar manner to the way so many of the younger generation have got used to with their mobiles, is ergonomically unsound, and will lead to possible damage to the arms in a similar way as repetitive strain injury does.

The forward way to go with touch screens, just in my opinion that is, is to have the screen at a similar angle as you would hold a touch screen operated mobile, in other words nearly flat and looking down at it, however that in itself could lead to neck strain, so a suitable angle for maximum comfort is to be aimed for.

However Windows 8 on an ordinary system, to my mind is a definite no no, at the present moment W7 is more than good enough and I can't see me changing to W8 for some time to come.
Though I wouldn't mind a play with a touch screen with W7 as it does have the capability, you never know it could change my opinion.
