Windows 8 For Dummies

    I got this information in a newsletter today, and promptly downloaded the eBook. I've only skimmed it, but it looks like it's worth the cost ($0.00) and likely, more.

    I downloaded and installed Windows 8 on October 26. It has some cool features and I rather like it; especially after adding Classic Shell Menu (one of several menu programs). There will be those who complain that they have to learn a new interface - but that is what I like about it ... new challanges!

    Only issue I have with books you have to read so much just to find exactly what your looking for.

    Yup ... I tend to agree. Seems that I have bought a number of reference books - only to turn to the Internet when I want an answer to a specific question.

    Tho, sometimes it's nice to sit down and just read thru in a search for a wider non-specific knowledge.


    BTW You have no idea how hard it is to try to write something here with that silly penguin of yours constantly getting knocked into the water. I keep watching in the hope that he'll smarten up and learn to go around.
