This is a moved thread regarding a question from Joelle about the April 8th update to Windows 8.1

Hi Joelle, do you have the Windows Updates set to automatic? If so it should already be on your computer as Microsoft released it as a part of the usual security and other updates on April 8th as far as I know.

    Nev.

    Edited for reasons of clarity.

Hi Joelle, can you start a new thread about this please as this might be missed by those who know more about Windows 8 and 8.1, as they may know of a fix that I don't.

    Nev.

I have windows 8.1 and saw that there is an update for this. I have automatic updates set on my laptop but when I checked to see if I had received this updates I found that I have one or two updates that have failed.
Is here a way I can check to see if I have the neccessary updates for 8.1 on my laptop please?

    Hi Joelle,

Can you right click on the failed updates and select View Details and tell us what they say?
