    Hey all,
I am back, I posted a while back about my computer. It worked just fine until recently.
Here is my previous post http://computerhelpforums.net/threads/windows-8-1-new-laptop-issues.39693/
    specs
    Operating System: Windows 8.1 64-bit (6.3, Build 9600) (9600.winblue_gdr.131030-1505)
    Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
    System Manufacturer: LENOVO
    System Model: 20216
    BIOS: 74CN44WW(V3.05)
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQCPU (Processor) @ 2.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM (Random Access Memory)
Available OS (Operating System) Memory: 8104MB RAM (Random Access Memory)
Page File: 4268MB used, 12027MB available
    1 TB hard drive

Everything was working fine until the most recent windows update.
    1. The first problem is sometimes when i am browsing 9gag or yahoo news that has videos chrome stops and says that a plug-in has stopped working. I stop the plug-in and close chrome but then the sticky notes on my desktop stop working and then sometimes windows explorer also stops. A friend of mine suggested that my extensions might be the problem. These are the extensions i have.
    Adblock Plus 1.7.4
    Classic Popup Blocker 2.6
    Google Docs 0.5
    JavaScript Popup Blocker 1.2.6
    Popup Blocker Pro 3.82
    Save to Google Drive 2.1.0

    2. The second problem is the computer freezes and the screen looked like it has snow on it. I can sort of see the desktop and the icons on it, but there are these white fuzzy things floating in front of everything. This is the second time it has happened. After a few minutes the screen went back to normal.

Hi, your friend might just have a very good point. I don't know for sure, however there could well be serious compatibility problems with all of the pop up blockers you have. You have Addblock Plus, that is all you need, it blocks advertising popups and very nearly every other type of advert. All the other pop up blockers you have are not really needed, so try running with them disabled and see how it goes.

Further to Nev's good advice have you considered a system restore prior to the last update in question?

System Restore is an excellent idea and then uninstall all the popup blockers other than Adblock Plus as I agree with Nev, that is all you need. For sure all those popup blockers are fighting each other.

I backed up all my data and reset to factory defaults, but my computer still freezes. I have tried using Chrome, Internet Explorer, and firefox, and all of them make my computer freeze. When it freezes i can move the mouse but i can't click on anything, open the side bar or open task manager. The computer does not unfreeze if i wait for it, I always need to press the power button until it turns off. It is still under warranty, should i send it in for repairs?

That sounds like a bad hard drive. I would run "chkdsk /r" on the drive which may fix the problem. If not then the drive probably needs replacement and I would send it back if under warranty anyway first.
