Can you pin point a program that's running when the computer freezes? For instance, if it happens when you use Chrome, then we have to look at reloading Chrome or disabling any extensions you may have loaded. Of maybe pin point to a place in time when you installed a program or device.

Also could be heat related if the fan and heat sink get clogged with dust. Laptops are prone to this happening they are so compact inside. If you could get someone to help you, get a can of compressed air and carefully blow out where the vent is. You could also try and put a small household fan by the vent and blow cool air in to see if that has any affect.

    Thanks for the update.

Are you using a browser to get to your email? If you are, then everything you mentioned involves a browser - emails, eBay, Browsing. So consider using another browser to testing purposes. Your Windows 10 computer should have Edge installed. Use that for a while instead of Chrome and see what happens. Edge and Chrome do the same thing. Edge is made by Microsoft, Chrome is made by Google.

As IJAC mentioned, it could be heat related. Are you using the laptop on a smooth surface? If you're using it on something like your lap or some piece of cloth, you may be blocking the heat exhaust.

Also, do you hear the fan running? If not, you may have a bad fan.

Can you provide the make and model of your laptop so we can see what we're dealing with.

How long ago and what is the laptop sitting on while you are using it. Would contact them if it still is not working properly if the repairs were one with in a reasonable amount of time. They should honor their work for some period of time.

As Rustys noted, it might be best to have whoever worked on it before to take another peek.
