Why does Windows Update not recognize my Adminstrator logon?

Suddenly, when I open Windows Update, even right-clicking and selecting "Run
as Administrator" it doesn't register. While the update checks properly and
updates are installing, I have a link on the Update dialog "Get Updates for
More Products" that only takes me to a page stating "Administrator's ONLY!".
I'd like to get all updates available thru WU.

Using Vista 64 Home Premium on an HP Pavilion w/Intel Core2 Quad at 2.4ghz
    and 4gb ram.

  2. Always state your full Windows version (e.g., Vista 64-bit SP2) when posting
in a forum or newsgroup. Please do so in your next reply.

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your
subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)?
    What third-party firewall (if any)?

Has a(another) Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on this
machine (e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought
    it)?
