Which motherboard is better: Intel 875P or SiS 655? Is there any motherboards that are better for under $200? Which of these are better: CSA network interface, or (10/100Mbps Ethernet 1/10Mbps HPNA), and by how much? And I also wondered waht these items are and how much they matter/affect preformance: IEEE 1394 controllers/ports, Peak theoretical interconnect bandwidth, Interconnect bus width, Interconnect clock speed

thank you for your time and input

Intel chipsets are better than SIS. Most new motherboards now have gig ethernet builtin so go for that.

The Intels only advantage over the Sis mobo is its integrated CSA network interface. SiS' 655TX is a lot cheaper and offers the bottom-line best price/performance ratio($150 for the Sis vs, $200 for Intel).

NForce Baby!!! Eh... Oh, it's not about AMD is it?

I go with Intel. The thing is what features are utilized by the manufacturing vendor. Sometimes, to cut cost they don't utilize the max functionality of the chipset.

For budget.. i'll go for Sis.
