This thread is for everybody to have a whinge, about anything that annoys them, in every day Life.

I am sick to death, of Tail Gators.

I drive 120 KLMS a day, and all I seem to get is Drivers, that are right up the rear of my Car, at 100KPH.

I would only have to touch my brakes, and they would smash into the rear of my Car.

Years ago, I had a mini with a 1275 hot motor in.

Had a 45mm Side draught Weber Carby that used to stick right through the dash, behind the Speedo. :D

My next door neighbour, creeps over late at night, and fills my Recycling Bins with all his rubbish.

I haven't enough room, to put my rubbish in my own bins, before pickup.

He seems to think it's quite OK.

I think it is extremely rude of him.

    What should I do.?

If I say something, we will be no longer on friendly terms.

Well ... being on 'friendly terms' surely isn't mutual, even right now. What a rude poop your neighbour is!

Don't have any answers - but I'd be really tempted to wait until it's done it, wait half an hour - stuff all his into a large clear garbage bag ... and return it, very neatly, to his front door. Suspect he'll be so embarrassed you're onto him that he'll not say a word and simply stop doing it.

One of my peeves is parents that think it's cute to let their little ones have one of those miniature size shopping cart while in the grocery store (what on earth were the store owners thinking!!) ... it's not the child's fault that they can't steer but I consider it his or her parent's fault when the little one runs the metal cart into other shoppers. Of course, these may well be the same parents who give their 3 year old a motorized toy car - and then wonder why they are often seriously hurt when they crash into things.

Right then :D here we go

    1. Getting a clean cup out the cupboard when there is one already out that just needs a rinse.
    2. Making a mess directly after I just cleaned an area and making no effort to clean it up.
    3. Pointless work that has to be done again any way, IE washing up just before cooking dinner when there is no need, or councils resurfacing roads days before the electric companies or Gas dig it up again to lay new pipes/cables.
    4. Experts telling me what's good or bad for me because someone did a little study and found a link.
    5. Politicians talking about cuts, then winging they need more money themselves.
    6. People boasting about having the latest phone, and not knowing how to use it.
    7. people driving fast cars below the speed limit.
    8. Laws clearly aimed at creating revenue from motorists and justified on grounds of accident prevention.
    9. People ignoring laws and obviously being a danger to others.
    10. People who cannot put common sense in front of procedure and who blatantly tell you that its not right but that's how it works, and then are unwilling to support you in a complaint to change things in case it affects their job or career
    11. People that emigrate to a country and who can't speak the native language and who are unwilling to accept their new countries traditions and ways.

hmm maybe I'd better stop now, for a while and give others a chance :snckr: :p

WELL I always wanted to start a thread like this---Never did as you know--to busy--who knows.

Hoooooookay---First--have to agree bout tail gaiters---up here there is only bout 3 places to pass on the way to town --17 mi.. Most know when they are getting close to them---but most stay on your tail the whole time----mostly women with children. I just look in my rear view mirror and say "ya should have left earlier" LOL ( not that they can hear me) :snckr:

Any thing that catches on anything--ie. elec. cords, garden hoses ( & really , really hate when a hose gets a kink  )

Packages that don't open the way instructions say & Zip lock bags that don't zip up.

PEOPLE that place shopping carts 1" from me in the check out line

    My memory

People that come to visit me and stay too long , telling in detail, me stuff that they told me before.

    Obama

    His appointments.

Guess by now, I might just have annoyed you---LOL ( but do think I have more)

Aah, but some of the things we have to be careful what we wish for :snckr: ... I too hate it when hoses kink so bought a 'guaranteed to never kink' hose from Lee Valley ... they were right, it never once kinked ...what they didn't say that it was so heavy filled with water than dragging the 100 foot length was hard work. Ended up giving it away to a happy local farmer - and have gone back to cheapie kink all the time ones - grin!

Anyone remember that old saying, "Fish and guests both stink after 3 days"? :D

You gotta hold your tongue a certain way to get a zip-lock bag to zip closed ... yup, I decided long ago that I'll never master it and simply pass that job onto someone else!:)

Think loathing people who tail gate must be universal .... just as those that dawdler along in the fast line and never think to move into the slower lane for their Sunday drive ... and we mustn't forget about the fairly rare but darn dangerous people who, when merging onto the freeway, think the word 'Merge" mean come to a complete stop.

And everyone knows that it's bad luck to drink from the same cup twice ... yup, must take a clean cup from cupboard each time and then remember to leave them willy-nilly all over the house.

Personal Income Tax Returns that the Government must surely pay someone especially to drive the average taxpayer a little bonkers each year.

I forgot by most recent pet peeves - huge smile!

Huge combined microwaves and kitchen range fans that do a zillion things except detect when the microwave is turned on by mistake and there is nothing in it. How hard can it be to create a a 'pressure sensitive turntable?! (Okay, okay, I'm completed at fault here but who knew that it would not just catch on fire and the glass turntable literally glow red, the heavy glass would literally explode!).

And electric coffee pots that go poof after about 4 months! Granted they are under Warranty but involves packing it up and shipping it off - Insured - back to the Manufacturer (often another Country) - and then either going without coffee or breaking down and buying a new one anyway. Whatever happened to lovely little 'Repair Shops' that used to exist, I wonder.

Wow, who knew it could be so much fun to rant! :snckr:

It feels good to have a Rant. [IMG]

Indian Tele marketers really annoy me, as they often seem to time their calls, when I am eating.

I have problems understanding their "Sing-along" accent.

    Average 6 calls a Day.

Latest ploy, they use is reverse Psychology, and they just happen to have the same name as mine.

    Yeah Right. [IMG]

I can't help but smile, Doug - I too have a terrible time understanding accents - but suspect it may work in reverse too. This afternoon I got a call from "Telus" (my Canadian phone company)- but the gentleman was calling from India. We both ended up laughing as neither of us could understand the other. But tele-marketers in general drive me nuts - and I honestly don't understand why there isn't a law against it.

I get calls from Lloyds (my bank) all the time from their Indian call centre, I absolutely hate talking to them as they insist on telling me that they want to do this and that and everything else they can try and offer me.

I told one of them that if I get a call again from them I am going to report them for harassment, the calls stopped for a while and then started so I just block all the numbers they call me from

    Oh and I forgot -

Technology, I still use DAT tape drives to back up my servers rather than anything else - I can back up 72GB (compressed) for around £2 - If I use blue ray its alot more than that and its newer tech

New Technology, is not always the best, because it's not proven Technology.

Nothing here is made to last more than it's warranty.

99% of goods are made in China, and there is no build quality, like Goods of yesteryear.

I much prefer the old Cars, made of Chrome and Steel. Not plastic.

You could fix old cars, and today everything is Electronic and I wouldn't know where to start,

    if something went wrong.

I get sick of buying new stuff all the time, when years ago, things lasted for years and years.

    Everything today is throw away.

    Oh were to start....

When you order something online and what comes is not what you want(or it does not work and they want you to pay shipping back)

Lazy Co-workers who think it is alright to do nothing and give the people who do work more of a workload.

People that want my truck to help them move and not even pay for gas.

    BUMS/Theives/liars!!!

Stoplights that turn red right before you get there and no one is going the other way.

Oh and Mara Always buy the cheapest coffee maker, I paid $6 for mine on sale and it is still going strong after 1 1/2 years.

Can surely relate to the friends wanting help every time they move but never offering a penny towards gas - and equally as bad (if not worse) how they magical 'disappear' when it's your turn to move - grin!

And you're right, Patrick - never going to buy an expensive coffee machine again!

Throw away is right, Doug - can't remember who first coined the phrase, "We're a disposable society" but it's apt. Huge sigh as that's one of the reason I joined the 'free circle' (free exchange) site locally (via computer, of course).

And Dalo, does your Bank now make you phone a 'central number' to make an appointment to meet with someone at your local Branch, I wonder? Ours has started doing that and it drives me nuts! Even if I have a question, I can only phone the 'central number' and they insist on trying to help me - the last thing I want to do is go through all the details that a staff member in my local Branch is already fully away of - ugh!

Off I go to try to figure out how to 'block' certain incoming phone numbers!

    Mara,

My bank does have a central number that always costs me a fortune as I refuse to have a home phone line so just use my mobile and 0845 numbers are not free from mobiles! I dont have a house phone so I can limit who calls me, if they ring my mobile at least I have it on silent and can ignore it, I would want to keep hearing BRING BRING while I am playing Final Fantasy 13 now would I

Banks are a pain in the backside, I might revert to sticking all my money in my matress and not using cards, with the amount of identity theft and fraud going on
