Two brothers have been charged with attempted grand larceny and conspiracy after they waited six years then claimed a $5 million lottery scratch-off ticket that they allegedly scammed from a customer at their family's convenience store in Syracuse, N.Y.

 

I often wonder what creates evil minds like that.

 

At lease it will be a happy ending for the victim.
Money is the root of all evil.

I believe that the actual quote is "For the love of money is the root of all evil." It comes from the New Testament (1Timothy) and is a specific reference to greed.

but do they remember where they came from? I've been fortunate in life in some ways, I've known very wealthy people who would think nothing of loosing a 5/6 figure sum, thanks to my ex wife I've also mixed with the homeless in hostels, I've known people who were born into money and had no appreciation of work, I've known people who have worked for every penny, I've even met a guy who used to be a multi-millionaire and lost everything, don't cheat on your wife when she's a solicitor,

but without those at the bottom who is their to hold up the pyramid? would a wealthy employer be able to pay the minimum wage if everyone earned more? you can be the ruler of a kingdom, but with out people to rule over your just a guy on an Island. what a lot of people don't realise is that what happens at the top filters down, and like wise what happens at the bottom filters up.

Life is what you make it, and money doesn't make it better or happier. but appreciating what you have, and remembering your more fortunate than others does.

would I swap my health, love of my son and wife for money, No. not all the money in the world. so why do the wealthy whine about paying a little more tax? is money more important than heath, love and their family?

The Bottom line Kayrose is they stole that money because they thought it would make them happier, the result is they have lost everything, all for greed, and yet if they had only looked they would have realised how fortunate they were and that their was no need to steal.

reading between the lines you seem to have taken my previous post as offensive and directed at you, but it was actually aimed at anyone who thinks money is the be all and end all of everything,
and as Dougie posted while I was typing the topic is fraud can we please return to it.
