Now, now - no knocking Firefox allowed - huge grin!

Actually, I use it (only because my so loved Netscape is no longer supported) and had no idea that it has a security flaw - thanks for letting me know, Dougie.

Will find which version I'm using and if it's the one at risk, will back up to my earlier version.

FireFox has always been real good at fixing their "Bugs". I'm sure it will be patched soon if not already.

I'm sure they will and in the interim I'm happily sitting here using Version 3.

Because Firefox is so similar to Netscape I had no problem changing over - but I must be a major duffus and their Thunderbird email program drives me more than a tad daffy. Oh well, can't have everything. :)

Wonder what is truly the difference between Firefox and Opera?

FireFox 3.5 just put out a major security update. I had to get it by going to the help menu and checking for updates. Yep they are on the ball! The update is to FireFox 3.5.1. :D

You calling me a Nut Job? Dalo.:D
FireFox are for those people, who have too much time on their hands, and instead of surfing, would rather stuff around all the time, with add ons and Patches and updates.Probably thats how you Guys get your Kicks.:p
Now Netscape isn't supported,OPERA is the next best Browser.
No need to chase ADD ONS,Opera had the sense to include only the ones, that are necessary.
FireFox is no safer than Opera.
To say it is,is a Fallacy.
What Browser is having all the Security problems? Dalo.:D

Oh my - this could turn out to be 'down and dirty' - eep! :)

I just downloaded and installed the newest update for my Firefox - and wandered away from the computer while it was doing it's work... and came back only to discover my darling had clicked on the 'finish' section - and apparently a box came up saying that two of my things are no longer supported in the newest version of Firefox and that Firefox couldn't find a version of the below that would be compatible with it.

    Site Hound
MS Frame ___ (he couldn't remember exactly what it said).

    Crumb bum.

I like Site Hound (especially when little ones are playing on my computer) and am simply not sure what the second item above is - or if I need it.

I believe it is just NETframework assistant which you can live easily without. As for Site Hound, if it is working then it is working. If you look under ff tools and click Add Ons it will show you if you have any unsupported add ons.

If there is anything that you feel you need and is listed there come back and ask.

As for Dalo, he who lives by the quip dies by the quip!!!:D
