All of a sudden, my machine will not recognize video clips on pages like painters chatroom.com. All I get is a big black square instead of a u tube video. Also on facebook all I see is a green square. I am guessing some kind of script bug. Any ideas?

Am using the latest IE ( I know I should be using chrome)

    Hi Christopher.
I deleted the Poll you started. Had nothing to do with your problem.
    For starters,
    Delete your IE Browser cache.
Hit F5 to refresh the page.
Any AD Blocker, disable for Youtube. com.
Reinstall Adobe Flash Player for IE.
    Is Java up to date?
    Try another Browser.
    See how you go.

I tried all of that and nothing worked, except switching browser.

Hmmm. One of those suggestions normally should have worked for IE.

    Try resetting IE:

    Reset Internet Explorer settings
    1. Go to Control Panel > Internet Options.
    2. Select the Advanced tab, and then select Reset.
    3. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, select Reset.
    4. When Internet Explorer finishes applying default settings, select Close, and then select OK.

Do you have Active X filtering enabled and check in Manage Add-Ons and make sure that Flash is enabled. Flash Player can be found under Toolbars and Extensions.

Granted this is for Windows 10 the same should be for Windows 8 (to locate the setting).
