I made some kind of change in Internet options several weeks ago, to stop those annoying pop ups at bottom of screen. Well, I made some kind of mistake, now I do not get video on news pages, photos show up with a small blue x and can't be seen. Happens on webpages also. l've also had Adobe tell me several times that it needs to be updated, and I thought it was, but it shows up again. Then I get a message telling me that there are features turned off, and when I look for those features in internet options, I can't find them. Tried to restore, and it tells me the restore failed. Acer laptop, Vista longhorn. Thanks in advance for your help and time.

In Internet Explorer, select Tools > Advanced and place a checkmark in the following : Enable third party browser extensions,
Enable visual styles on buttons and controls, Play animations in web pages, Play sounds in webpages, Show pictures and Smart
page dithering. Click apply and okay. Restart Internet Explorer.
