I am getting a Roku TV the TCL 6. Seriers.

I thought because this Forum is for SmartPhones maybe somebody may know a little bit about the Video Setup for the TV.

This Video Says you have to play SDR Video to get into SDR Mode.
And you have to play HDR Video to get into HDR Mode.

And you do this for every Mode you have to get into to Setup.
But He is playing all this on YouTube.

First of all I can not Find HDR Video on YouTube or Doby Vision Video or anything on YouTube.
How is He doing this and what should I do?

Where in this video are you referring to. I’m not going to watch 8 minutes of a video wondering what you’re referring to.

As far as resolution is concerned, I’d think any modern TV would switch to the highest resolution it can produce for the content provided.

    It is at 3:42 Point.

He Says to get into the HDR Settings you have to Play a HDR Video.
And to get into the Dolby Vision Settings you have to Play a Dolby Vision Video.

How is He getting these Videos from YouTube?

I'm no expert on this, but here's my read.

Somehow the TV is recognizing the type of content it's receiving and it's switching to HDR and Dolby Vision automatically.

That said, you should be able to go into the picture settings for each and set the brightness, contrast, backlight for each type of content.

With most TVs, I set the brightness by looking at the shadows. Lower the brightness so that you can still see details in the shadows. Then set the brightness by looking at highlights. Set the backlight to the lowest setting for an overall picture. There's probably better instructions on-line.

I still have to play Say HDR Video to get the TV to go into HDR Mode so I can make my Settings for that.

I do not know how to get Say HDR Video or Say Dolby Vision Video.

Check Settings / Picture. Look for the various modes.

I’d say check the manual but it may not have come with one. It may be embedded in the TV. Look for Help. You may have to look online.
