Hi, I recently bought 2x4gb G-Skill Ripjaws X, for my system.

Specs are Mobo: asus m4a78lt-m LE
    Cpu: AMD Phenom 965 3.4ghz
    GFX: HD5770 Radeon Msi
    Ram: Previously 4gb Corsair 1333mhz
    HDD:500gb Samsung
    OS:Win 7 64bit
Psu: 700w (some bad generic brand)

The ram clicked into place fine, however when I turned my system on the CPU didn't beep and my monitor remained blank and unregistered.

I tried booting it with only 1 stick and the same thing happened.
For some reason my BIOS doesn't have any settings to do with Ram and changing voltage and timer settings, which I thought might the issue.

Despite being "designed for Intel" I know the rams compatible with other CPUs, and I've seen systems where my exact mobo and the same G-skill ram is used, so I'm at a loss to whats wrong.

My thoughts are along the line's of resetting the cmos, and looking for a bios update, everything else you have already tried.

I'm sure some of our more experienced staff/members may have more suggestions. they should be online Monday morning so I would check back tomorrow :)

How can you be sure it is compatible? I know that generally as long as you get RAM with the correct supported speed, voltage and timings it should work, emphasis on should, from a look around your motherboard isn't on the supported motherboards list on GSkill site, which only lists Intel chipsets as supported i.e. P67 and Z68. And that RAM isn't in Asus supported RAM list, both links below.
