Ordered from www.puritan.com in may and July successfully online. Email address was changed afterward on July 31. Now i cannont get an online order to succeed. Wrote company, called customer service, updated email address, tried to correct all information in case wrong, nothing is wrong with credit card account and have used it many times since, but I cannot get an online order to go through when it tries to verify the credit card information. Have written company 3 times and no one seems able to tell me the problem or the fix but instead offers me a reduced price phone order. That is not the point. This is same PC, same browser, same credit card as the prior orders and email address has been updated. I cannot see why nobody can find a fix or tell me one. I do not want to be bought off. It is not the price. I want to be able to succeed in online order like before. What on earth can be happening? I am going to try a different credit card and different computer tomorrow and see what happens. Anybody ever hear of such a thing or what could be happening? Or have any suggestions? Apparently the company does not know. But could i be the only cusomer who cannot place a successful order? I know changes may not take effect right away but I will give it this next week. Using Firefox 52.4 and have told them my equipment.

There may be something up with whatever cookie was set by this web site. Try another browser or delete the cookie for this particular web site. Easier to try another browser.

I upgraded the Windows 7 Firefox to 56 but I think the XP SP3 doesn't go higher than 52.4.
I could try the Windows7 laptop with either IE or Firefox 56 if you think that might help.

I just went to the cookies and deleted the companies two cookies.

Tried order on different laptop and still not work.

When ordering from Puritan, did you fill in the login details using your new e-mail address before updating your Puritan account? If trying that afterwards as a result of the order failing, then perhaps the database has become confused and can't match up your name to the e-mail address ..old or new now presumably.

If something like that has happened and nobody at the Puritan end can sort it out for you, it might be necessary to create a new account using the changed e-mail address.

From experience, I know that creating a new account under those circumstances could bring up an 'Email address in use' message. No matter how much you tell it, "I know ..it's my *** e-mail address!" it won't take any notice. Then you have to use yet another e-mail address, not forgetting to update the Puritan account with this e-mail address before ordering anything.

A real pain, so exhaust all other options/suggestions first but if nothing else works, the above might be the only answer.

    That's correct.
Firefox 53 and upwards, won't run on XP or Vista.

To add: I would never advise using Windows XP or Vista for any online ordering or Banking.
Both operating systems are unpatched and insecure.

I wasn't concerned so much with security and privacy as I was with the order failing to go through when I had checked and corrected all I knew.
But evidently the company could see my order and emailed me and I called and verified and completed the order and it is being shipped. I believe that the email change or the card expire update did not somehow take effect and the card could not be verified. I will forget it until need order again. Maybe due to privacy and security they are not even allowed to tell me the trouble in case I am hacking myself. But now at least I can move on for the moment.

I DO have a windows 7 Dell Inspiron and an Asus windows 10 just in case I need it.

You are better off using Windows 7 or 10 to do any online ordering, Bill.
Best to keep your credit card information safe and secure so that you don't have to worry about anyone accessing your account.

I did not realize that, Cindy. Thanks. I will begin to do this now.

Is windows 7 naturally safer or must I download or install something to make it that way? This laptop purchased 6-11-2012.

What security programs are you using on it, Bill?
    Do you keep it updated?

I will have to look at both computers to see. Can you name some I should use? I will look and post what I see I have on each. I am sure I have some but unsure at the moment what they are named.
