Anybody have experience with touch screen phones? If so, are they good, bad, desirable, undesirable, any reason to get or avoid them, or makes no difference? Need some advice and pros/cons.

Yes I have some very limited experience. Touch screens are amazing BGBG. It's new technology. There are a lot of google reviews out there, some of which I am darn sure googling. I believe there are also a lot of "touchscreen" cell phone users here in the forum and I will wait for their input. I do like big buttons as I am getting old, but I have an old model touchscreen phone (I think 4 years old) and I am amazed, and befuddled as well.

The only problem I have with touch screens is that you have to be looking at them. No tactile feel. With my non-touch screen phone, I can press a physical button (I know where it is) and say who I want to call, make and end the call without looking at the phone.

I have had quite a few iPhones and love the touch screens. It is so easy to use and my only issues are cleaning it all the time.

I have had others previously but, now... I have a Lumia Windows 10 Mobile phone & it's just great. Easy to use, does what's needed & wanted very nicely. No complaints or issues. A good, enjoyable phone. Touch screen phones are fine. Only thing is they are hard, if not impossible to see w/ bright sunlight shining on them. And they are useless if you forget & leave them @ home. Other than that, they're great. Strongly recommend you, also, get a Bluetooth to go w/ the phone.

One of the cool things I am finding is that you can "drag" the icons where you want them. This is an "android" phone I have and I did notice that it's hard for my eyes to look at the screen in direct sunlight as you said Drew. I also noticed that I miss that old tactile feel of the older phones as Tony said as well. I am trying to learn all this new technology it's pretty cool BGBG.
