Hello; I hope I'm in the right place, My daughter & Gand daughter both use T-Mobile & when they send me a message they come in & open OK but are totally blank, I'm using Thunderbird email on my PC & they are the only 1's I have the problem with, all my other emails work right & if I reply to 1 of their blank emails they get them & can read them OK & I have checked & rechecked my Thunderbird settings a 100 times & can't find any problems there & I've checked my antivirus & firewall settings & can't find any problems there either & my daughter said that nobody else she texts to has the problem I'm having but the only difference I can see is her texts to other people are from cell phone to cell phone & mine are from her cell phone to my desktop PC & when I was experimenting with forwarding & whatever I saw an error message along the bottom saying "A unique identity matching the from address was not found" . Everything was working good until about a week ago & then I started getting the blank emails & as far as either my daughter & I know there haven't been any changes with either her phone or my PC & we rely heavily on this form of communication & really hope somebody in here can help fix the problem. I think it's a T-Mobile thing but really don't know. Thank you.

Hello and welcome FD and what an interesting problem. If you have an email account you can use a browser to access try accessing email with a browser such as Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc. So if you have gmail, you'd go to mail.google.com and log in. Verizon and AOL accounts go to mail.aol.com. For a Yahoo account, go to mail.yahoo.com. Hotmail account? Go to www.hotmail.com.

If the messages look good there, then there's something going on with your Thunderbird app.

Hello again I went to my ISP & checked my emails in my browser (Microsoft Edge) & the emails are blank in there too & still makes me wonder if it's a T-Mobile thing but just really don't know & it had been working with T-Mobile before & then just suddenly started getting the blank emails Thank you your help & hopefully we'll get it figured out in here.

It could of been a update also. Thunderbird is doing updates and modernizing there app. Could also been a update on T Mobile also. T he problem is unless there are others having this problem it will be hard to figure out.

Check to make sure your anti virus is not attempting to fix mbox files.
Also, try compacting and repairing your mail.
Right click on inbox folder, select Properties, click on repair folder.

I'm not sure if either of our stuff has up-dated, Thunderbird is set to auto up-date & I have no clue about her T-Mobile stuff. But when I reply to her message I do get "On 10/1/2023 2:53PM, +(her number)@momail.net wrote:" & the rest is blank. I haven't tried the repair part yet & kind of leery about trying it since everything else seems to work OK & don't want to make a bad situation worse. I did temporarily try using Microsoft mail & still got the blank emails there too

If the email is blank when accessing via a browser, then the problem is not with Thunderbird.

Hello & thank everybody that has tried to help & this is kind of an up-date & is weird to say the least, just as quickly as the unknown problem started it fixed itself (knock on wood) & as far as either my daughter or I know nothing has been changed on either end, I just had her send 1 more message to check everything & have something fresh to "experiment" with & was taken off guard when it just came in right & still no clue why it started doing it or why it just as suddenly started working again but would like to know the cure if it happens again. Thank all of you for your help & advice.
