    Thanks for the link. Looks like I won't be doing Mac upgrades any longer. I just can't keep up with them.

    I've tried USB adapters for data recovery on 2 types of these drives. Neither my Window's computer in Disk Management, or my Macbook in Disk Utility would even detect them. With further research, I found out that that's the norm.
