"The Internet Explorer Feedstore is unavailable"

Discussion in 'Windows Vista' started by CookyMonzta via WindowsKB.com, Jul 20, 2009.

  1. The News Feed Headlines Sidebar Gadget is not picking up any news headlines,
and I get the message "The Internet Explorer Feedstore is unavailable" in the
    window.

Is it my imagination, or is Microsoft's news feed system down? Or could it
be that, upon installing a Windows component or update, I inadvertently
scrambled the Feed Headlines gadget's ability to communicate with the MSN
mainframe that supplies the news reports to the gadget?

Forget it. It works. My first assumption was correct. They must have shut
it down over the weekend for maintenance or renovation, but now it's up and
running, and the news feed is coming in.
