    I was testing this editor after the recent updates.
    Gifs used to show in XP and in Windows7 they don't.:yikes:
    “Windows Photo Viewer” will not show animation in GIFs.
    That can't be a step forward.

    From memory, in XP all windows were HTML pages and actually part of Internet Explorer, or at least closely linked. They would actually act as a browser if you pasted a URL into the search panel at the top.
    However Windows explorer pages are internal and not HTML, not sure what they are to be honest, but certainly not GIF friendly. I have found that any animated GIF file, double click on it and an IE page opens with the animation then running.

    You can also right click on the file, select "Open With-" and then find Mozila firefox or other browser if not wanting IE to open.
