Important Steam VAC

    Well today Steam hit me with 2 updates.....and now when playing L4D2 I keep getting the VAC error message. Telling me to get rid of all my plugins for L4D2.

    For those of you who don't know....VAC is an acronym for Valve Anti-Cheat system

    So apparently the updates are effecting subscriber based plugins which is generating this error message. What worked for me was to do as prompted to do, remove all plugins and I was able to play L4D2 with no more issue. Maybe things will settle down and we'll be able to re-add all of our plugins back in...it's a waiting game at the moment.
