    My start button or search box don't work on my Dell Notebook. I am running Windows 10. I tried restarting it in the Task Manager as well as a couple of other troubleshooting tips, but, clicking on still doesn't open it. I cannot get to the control panel of my computer.

    If it stopped working recently, what changes did you make since it was working?

    Nothing...it just stopped working. I click on it and nothing happens. Even the search bar doesn't work.

    I did install Avant Antivirus. It has an annoying "secure" browser that I can't Uninstaller because I can't get to the Control Panel and if I right click on the icon, there isn't an option to Uninstaller it.

    In that case, try doing a System Restore to take the computer 'back in time'.

    Press Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box, and then
    Type cmd in the dialog box;
    Press Ctrl + Shift + Enter keys to open the elevated command prompt

    In the pop-up window, type rstrui.exe command and hit Enter.

    Answer Yes to the prompt asking if you want to make changes to the computer.

    Follow the prompts to restore the computer to an earlier time.

    Try this and should open Control Panel.
    Press the Windows Key and R key, type in control panel, and click ok, should bring it up
