You would expect this lunacy from young hoons, not a 33 yr old.

So that would be 133.6Mph? which to double the speed limit would mean he would have to reach 136.7Mph on a three? lane Motorway Right now I have translated to English (Match was last seen walking away from this thread whistling)

I know someone who did 165 mph on a deserted six lane divided highway at about 3:00 am... on a motorcycle.  B)
That was many moons ago. Rumor has it He resembles the author of this post. ;)
(I'm walking a little faster. And I'm not whistling either.)

Generally not speaking from experience I have found, eer I mean heard that with speeds in access of 150mph by the time you have seen it you've passed it. and that's an object travelling in the same direction, of course these phenomenon may be different in bright daylight but then the speeds which you can reach would be greatly reduced, here in the UK during peak hour's you consider it an achievement to reach 50% of the legal speed limit.

I have done 150 in road car and yes it's very fast, 3.0 twin turbo Subaru Impreza (modified by a tuning company in Japan)

    Its capable of 178MPH

I have been close to 190MPH in a race track car and let me tell you I was nearly sick, maybe that was the cornering speed as opposed to the 190MPH

That is true, while living in Bermuda I once had my 50cc Honda Civic all the way up to 60 kph (that's right kph) downhill of course. Believe it or not that "speed" could get you removed from the road for at least 5 months over there.

I once told the driver of an FZR1100 it wasn't as powerful as I expected, not sure how fast we went, he said 160ish, all I know is I had a stiff neck for weeks after from trying to stop the wind shaking my helmet around.

But the one thing I have found for acceleration, speed, handling and one hell of adrenalin rush, was a 125cc Race Kart :D on a public road :snckr: well I had to make sure it was working right before returning it back to the owner, lol the days of being young a wreckless

Traffic experts say at 150mph on a Motorbike,it would take you 384.951 yd to stop.Nearly a quarter of a mile.

That's a long way on the seat of your pants, if you dropped it at that speed. :p

Lets see .... if you were to lose 10 thousandths of skin thickness per foot traveled (converting skin into Road Rash), you would loose .1154853 inches of skin thickness :geek: .... when you finally came to a rest.

    That's gonna hurt!!!
    :nono: Don't Try It !

    Indeed.

Have you ever seen a good case of road rash ? The math may work. However, it doesn't account for sub-dermal damage due to irregular road surfaces and friction (heat). :eek:y:

regardless, on a bike if you come off and hit a kerb at 40MPH I think it was your dead......

I prefer cars, I have been on many of my friends bikes, he had a GSXR750 and a CBR600 at the same time (he was selling the GSXR in replacement for the CBR (CBR was much faster but had a smaller engine) so we went for a blast near the manchester airport tunnels (must have kept some people awake lol) love the sound of power in tunnels :)

Best sound I have ever heard, was Ducatti under full acceleration, in a long tunnel here. :)

I was doing the speed limit, and it flew past like nothing on Earth.

    First thoughts,Gotta get one.

Bikes do sound nice, but in tunnels I always think the high pitchness of them sound like a mosquito on drugs :snckr:

Best sound I have ever heard in a tunnel was a Skyline GTR34, it flew through a tunnel in Wales.....I was going faster than I should and it must have been doing twice the speed I was, (first thought was 'bloody hell') then I saw the Ferrari up it's backside :D

Ducatti's have there own special sound, and not so high pitched sound,as these Jap bikes on steroids. :snckr:

I owned a Ferrari in 1985,and the Ferrari would have been playing with the Skyline. :)

Doug, R34 Skylines were banned as at stock they were too loud
I think the Skyline was playing with the Ferrari, I get it all the time as I drive a Golf GTI Turbo (standard 150BHP), people see it and think oh boy racer. I love seeing their faces when you shoot off from the lights with 350BHP under your right foot

And I agree about the Ducati sound B) They are a pedigree bike and one that most bikers would like to own, but they are not suited to british weather
