My previous thread called "Malwarebytes" was sraying so I decided to begin a new titled thread that is more related. I am awaiting Spam gmail to try and learn how to report and stop it if possible. Have always just deleted the few I got and it was OK. Now it has greatly increased. I am now awaiting to get some so I can learn more about reporting and hopefully stopping or slowing it down.

Bill, IJAC gave you a very good video for you to view, every time you can't figure out what to do.
Starting another thread is not going to help you.

I am sorry. I just thought "malwarebytes" just was not an apt title anymore.

I just got a message in Spam, opened it, and saw NO WAY to report as Spam in the choices. I simply cannot find a way or place to Report Spam. May just have to keep on deleting. Unsure iff clicking to Unsubscribe is a good choice but it is THERE in case. When I get some time I will study the video. Seems the best option.

    1. Don't bother looking at the spam folder. If it is there, it is where it is supposed to be. Delete it from the spam folder.
    2. If spam is in the inbox, do not open it. Put a check in the box in front of it and click spam rather than delete. Once you check the box in front of the message, you see this menu.

If you do not put a checkmark in front of a message, this menu doesn't appear!

Thank you ! This does help me. Mine are ALWAYS in the spam folder and I always selected and clicked delete forever. Then lately I seem to get LOADS of spam as many as 10-15 a day sometimes. Used to be only 1 or 2 in a week or so. I will watch and try to do as you say. Just needed some instruction and "HOW TO....". But they are ALWAYS in Spam and NEVER in INBOX so far. I always before have simply deleted without opening or reporting or unsubscribing. I must learn how to handle this.
I just looked. I had not deleted the $6301.99 Cashapp deposit Spam so am now doing so. There is a Select square, a NOT STARRED star, and a Click to teach Gmail tis conversation is important. I usually would check the box and click delete forever. I will watch for a reply before deleting forever and not respond in any other way. Hope I am doing right. Thank you very much. When I click the first box a check goes in the box above it that has a dropdown arrow that says "all, none, read, unread, starred, unstarred. I usually just click the boxes and then Delete . See the File I uploaded. Hope I did this right. I will wait for a possible reply before doing anything.

Going by your screenshot, you can just select "delete all spam messages now".
You should NEVER open email that is in your SPAM folder.
It's already been identified as spam/junk.

I always thought opening them was a bad idea. I always just deleted them forever after selecting them all if more than one.

I think we may have all been under the impression that these "spam" emails were in your INBOX.
If they are in your spam folder, they are exactly where they belong.

Cindy - I am sorry if I gave the wrong impression but they have ALWAYS been kept in the SPAM email folder ever since iI at some point learned to put them there. After that I just deleted forever the 1 or 2 that I used to get. Thinking for some reason or being told thatt was what to do. Not open, read, report, unsubscribe but simply click the spam then the delete forever box. Now I just clicked the spam letterr box then the box above which now reads DELETE FOREVER and clicked the down arrow and the ALL box and....BYE-BYE Cashapp $. The ONLY ONE there. I will get this right YET ! NOW I HAVE NO SPAM MAIL. Thanks for the help.

I do not wish to start another new thread right now but I want to ask a question about eBay. At first I thought it convenient to have my PC "remember" all my logins so I would not have to look them up and type them in for each time I logged in to a site. I ow see maybe that is not a good idea. I used to order online items a lot and some that come by FedEx come through North Wales and I actually had my identity and item stolen and someone using my identity wrote to eBay and thanked them for the good service. I never reported or questioned this nor told anyone and it has not happened since. But I was wondering how I could learn what direction to order from so if Fed Ex or eBay it would NOT go through the NorthWales Fed Ex office. I used to think I knew but I realized I do not and eBay says where the location the item is shipping from. And should I change only my password or my username as well in order to protect it and my identity? Any ideas or recommendations appreciated.

I will still keep and watch the SPAM video I have saved when I finally have the time to do it. It is now 10:35 pm and no more spam all day so far.I deleted the only one I got for a few days now. Believe I will keep on deleting them like I used to do. They ALL go into the spam folder and I never open them. I will conquer this YET !

Right now I am trying to decide whether to change my username and password on eBay rather than guess at which delivery the eBay store will choose and try to figure out what ccities they may pass through to get to me. I have never had this trouble before now and have had no issues for awhile. I have no idea which roads the delivery services use or towns they deliver to. I have only had two problems with the FedEx and town they delivered to. And I have been ordering things for 40 years.

Just got 2 more Spams in spam folder. One was a free gift from Kohl, the other was a plea to "support Donald Trump-Please Respond". I deleted both without opening.
All I see to do is to simply delete without opening. All I get are in the spam folder and have always been. Never in the inbox, except the one above. I never open them though.

There were 2 new spams tonight. Offering free gifts, etc in the title. I selected to delete all forever and rid myself of them. I guess that is the best thing to do. I have read that it is a mistake to open them or mess around with them. I will still try to watch this video soon.

I looked it up on Google search and made a folder and copy-pasted the website in folder for later study. I recall having this come-on before-it is on an answering machine and I do not answer if an unkown or unwanted call.
