    Hi,
I just use the on line version. Isn't it just as good?

The online version is used for on demand scanning. The installed version which is what I have, monitors your computer and it advises you when a software program is at Life End, unpatched, etc. Links are provided directly to the developer for a "solution". When a program that reaches end of life such as Adobe Elements 6 has, it will no longer receive patches and becomes open to vulnerabilities. Another end of life program is Microsoft Word 2003 which is no longer supported by Microsoft and is vlunerable. I upgraded mine. My score at the moment is 100%. meaning programs are patched and end of life have been uninstalled and replaced.

Now I remember, Snoopy, I did have PSI for a time and it kept telling me that Animation Shop was vulnerable, so I took it off and started using the one on line. However, things don't always get updated on time, so guess I should go back to PSI. I am not sure that a later version of AS was available and probably was not free. I don't want to pay for it if I don't have to!!
    Thanks for the info.

Hi, I decided to get the PSI 2 until it is not in beta, whatever that means!!
I still have the problem with Animation Shop being a dead program, but that is all, so I guess I am in good condition. Had to really look and look to find that bothersome Flash 8 ocx, but finally got rid of it.

Pat, you can place Animation shop into the Ignore list with Secunia - I did that with adobe Elements 6 until I find a replacement or dig deeply into my pocket to buy the most recent version.

Re Flash ... if you look carefully, Secunia offers a solution and takes you directly to the update download site. It can be a bit confusing figuring out what you can and cannot do via Secunia but eventually it all falls into place.
