In Win10 I Open my Explorer and on the Left Side I Click my "C" Drive.

Then on the Top Right in the Search Box I Type .mov and then I Click Search.

Everything is coming up but my Video File that is a .MOV can anybody help?

I Thought I put my Video File on my DeskTop but it must be in another Folder can anybody help?

Am I not Searching in the Right way?

Yes I have a JVC Camcorder and it Takes Videos at 1080 HD.

The File Type is .MOV and I know I put it on my DeskTop but it may have went in a Folder.

In the Left Hand Side I Click my C: Drive.

Then in the Top Right I Type
    ext:.mod

Am I Right this is how you Search for File Types?

If I want just JPGs I Type
    ext:.jpg

    And things like this?

It looks like you're doing the search properly. If you want to look for a file with the mov extension, go to the C drive and in the upper right corner, in the search box, type in .mov. Press the Enter/Return key. It may take a while. If your file doesn't show up, check the Recycle Bin,
