Just received a phone call message saying they have renewed my Anti Virus Security for another year and have charged me $399. If I want to cancel this charge call V Tech Solution at 213-245-2211 within 48 hours. Dennis Wilson Customer Relations. The caller ID labeled it as SPAM. Anybody hear of this? I never did. I have no antivirus security that I know of.

It's a new one on me. What anti virus are you using?

I don't expect they have the capability of charging your charge card unless they know your numbers. Sounds like they're phishing for information from you. To be sure, check with your credit card company to ensure there is no charge.

    Yep.

If one calls, they probably state it was some sort of mistake, then ask you for your credit card info to "reverse" the charges.

Surely I would remember if I was stupid enough to buy a program over $100 for any of the computers! I just hang up or wipe the message on the answering machine. I rarely answer the phone because 95% of the calls are unwanted.

I never answer them either. Most never leave a message anyway. Rings 2 or 3 times and hangs up. Occasionally one will leave a message. Even spam calls are diminishing now.
