the boxes below members names cuts off part of the post so I can't read all that is written.
    here's what I mean

I just fired up FF ESR 52.1.1 and I have the same issue. Is there a way to not have this box appear under a person's username?

Okay, I fixed it. I allowed this site in noscript and the box disappeared. I should have tried that BEFORE I posted. I'll just assume it might help anyone else having the issue I had.

You can change to a different skin by going to the bottom of the board and clicking on default.
A small window will open and give you a choice of different selections.

You can also toggle that box on and off when required by clicking on the + sign under the avatar.

I temporarily blocked this site in noscript. The + doesn't show and I can't figure out a way to close the box which covers up the post.

Actually, the default skin is fine. I use this forum software at other sites. It is easier for my "senior" eyes to sort out the sections with new posts.

We actually have a skin with larger text that some people prefer to use because everything on the forum is a little bigger.
You might want to check that one out.
    It's the Default Orange skin.
The instructions for changing to it are HERE

Thanks. First order of business - finding an avatar.
I used to use a walking floppy disk but a lot of people don't know what a floppy disk is. Then I changed to a walking CD/DVD but those are becoming passé too! I'm becoming a dinosaur. (I'm not ready for a dinosaur avatar yet, though.)

Not underneath but it can be added next to it, like this.....plodr (Liz)
If you'd like it like that, I can add it for you but you would have to log back in with the changed user name.
Let me know if that is what you want to do.
