I might as well start with the link although it plays like an infomercial... which is exactly what it is. I will say that with just a few hours of looking and playing this DOES look like it MIGHT be something of interest.

If I click on this link I get a certificate warning but can't find anything actually wrong with the site. Up to you... if you get the warning click through or exit.

As many know I work at Walgreen's. We Do get some off the wall products, this is one of them. With a $10.00 dollar price tag I probably would not have bought this thing but today corporate put out a little employee thank you bumping out discount from 15% to 25%. At a price of $7.50 I figured what the heck and got one. The actual price of $10.00 includes a 1 year subscription.

So I get home and plug in the USB device. There was a little bit of a surprise as Windows 7 saw it as a CD drive. Setup was funky, really just took you to a site to register. The USB device really just seems to be a key to prevent piracy, this is all web based.

Is there anything in this thing that you could not find on your own for free? Probably not. What it does is to organize things. Remember when Media Center had the option for Internet TV? That is basically what this does but also a bit more. It also offers options for pay per view and payed subscriptions to more premium type channels.

Here is what I found tonight... I watched a little Twilight Zone, Andy Griffith, Mary Tyler Moore and Star Trek. Also quick looks at a few movies. Quality was quite good.

As an initial opinion I think this thing just might be worth looking at just for the organization.

There is probably nothing here except, possibly, the pay per view options, that you could not find on your own for free but I think that it just might be worth $10.00 a year to have it already organized. Since a year subscription was included in what I paid I guess I have plenty of time to make a final decision on that.

Could this replace Cable TV? As little as I watch current TV shows (many current shows and network broadcasts are included) it just possibly could but, for the total TV addict, probably not.

Going from my first experience I DO think that this is something to look at.

Afraid you link don't work for me, but a quick google took me to rabbittv.com, to me it would be useless as I pay for Sky Digital, and this gives me access to TV via the net on a mobile device the same as my Digital decoder does, I can also access my home digital decoder to set it to record programs, so if your away from home and realise your going to miss your favourite show you can use your phone to set the digi box to record it for you :)

So for me here in the UK, No Sale :) I have Sky Go http://go.sky.com/vod/page/default/home.do

It might work for me. I don't have an cable TV. I simply use an antenna for Over The Air (OTA) TV transmission. It's pretty good, but sometimes I fall off the 'digital cliff' and the sound and video stutters.

I do watch live TV. Things like the local newscasts and I do like some of the regular TV series.

Does this device allow you to stream live broadcasts from the major networks? My guess is no.
    Is there a subscription?

Yes the major networks look to be included. And, yes, there is a subscription of $10.00/year. They really don't supply anything as to channels, they just organize things so you don't have to hunt for anything.

Sorry about the bad link. Wasn't thinking. The first link was for registering the USB key that I already have. This should work.
