Would love to how about giving us a chance to help you by telling us make and model of computer, or hardware if custom build, desktop or laptop and version of Windows. Or is it the hardware you have listed in your statistics?
If that is what we are talking about rerun your video driver cd and I bet it comes back or better yet download newest full video driver from AMD ATI for your video card.

Most of the time sound drivers only need to be updated for gamers (and a specific game at that), or sound producers depending on their equipment.

Can I ask you where you got the soundcard driver and why you upgraded them also?
My guess would be if you go into Device Manager and uninstall the soundcard driver and then restart, Windows will put the correct one back when you restart.
Run: type in: diskmgmt.msc then click "OK".

Hi! If Rich's suggestion doesn't work. please post your make and model if its not a custom build; and someone can give you a link where you can find all your drivers. I would just like to add this to this tread. You should always go to the manufacture for drivers. Never use a 3rd party. Also if it ain't broke. don't fix it!:bnghd:

Great point Gary, never ever use those driver download sites, go to the mfgr! Third party sites are supported by hooking unsuspecting users with useless free programs, many of which are bloatware that can lead to serious infections. And also years ago we always updated every drive the minute we found one but prevailing attitude out there today is update a driver when you have a problem that you know a new driver intends to fix.

Commonly if a driver is merely updated in previous operating systems backwards from Vista there could be issues -- depending on the PC/motherboard/sound codec. What you want to do is uninstall the sound driver and reboot, and then install the freshly downloaded new driver.

OP how was your driver updated? can we get more information such as the make/model of PC or laptop? Or whatever system you have as well as the operating system. I would like to see your issue revolved.

Hi William! The OP has not responded to any of our posts, but good information if they are watching.;)
You say uninstall the driver and reboot and then install the new driver. Won't windows install the driver when you reboot?;)

Well yes Windows would do that so just install newly downloaded driver afterwards if still necessary I think is what he is recommending.

Run System Restore, which enables the system to go back to a date before U had a problem. Everyone forgets about the most popular fix. Is simply running System Restore, which seems to undo just about anything for most.

Good one Kenny! You're right! Restore to a earlier time is a great tool. I wasn't to crazy about It in XP, but worked good for W7 and I'm betting it works well in W10. I haven't tired it in W10 yet. Thanks for reminding me. I made a note to myself!
There's always the roll back feature in devise manager.;)

Rollback feature? Do you mean in Update and Recovery, because that is only good for 30 days? I can't find a Rollback in Device Manager where is that?

I mean the roll back feature in devise manager Rich. If you up date a driver in the device manager, you have a option to roll the driver back. Did you not open my screen shot!:bnghd:No I did not mean the 30 day roll back period! Look at my red arrow in my screen shot.
    We need to talk Boss!!;)
